Refund & Cancellation Policy

Cancel any time. This page explains how Email Sprucer subscriptions, cancellations and refunds work.

This Refund & Cancellation Policy forms part of the Terms of Use for Email Sprucer, together with its related website and online services (the “Service”), operated by Datgel Asia Pte. Ltd. (UEN 201132358H). It applies to paid subscriptions you buy directly from us. If you bought through a marketplace or reseller, see Purchases through a marketplace below.

Free tier and paid plans

Email Sprucer may offer a free tier or trial that lets you try core features at no cost, and one or more paid plans that unlock additional features or seats. The plans, prices and billing periods available are shown at the point of sale before you pay.

Term licences, and renewal

A paid plan is a licence for a fixed term — typically a year — stated at the point of sale. Unless the plan you bought says otherwise, it does not renew automatically and no payment method is kept on file to charge: when the term is near its end we remind you, and you renew by buying another term if you want to carry on.

Where a plan is sold as an automatically renewing subscription, that is stated clearly before you pay: it renews at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel, and by subscribing you authorise us and our payment provider to charge your payment method for the initial period and each renewal. In either case we do not store your full card details; they are handled by our payment provider.

How to cancel

A term licence that does not auto-renew needs no cancelling — simply do not renew it, and nothing further is charged. Where your plan renews automatically, you can cancel at any time:

Cancelling immediately stops the next charge. Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period, and it will not renew after that. You keep access to paid features until the period ends, after which your account moves to the free tier where one is available.

Renewal reminders

For yearly plans we email you a reminder 15–45 days before the term ends, showing the plan, the date, and what renewing would cost. Where the plan renews automatically, that reminder also states the amount and currency you will be charged and how to cancel. During a free trial we remind you by email before the trial ends.

Refunds — our money-back guarantee

The following is a voluntary guarantee we offer to all customers worldwide. It is in addition to — and never limits or replaces — the statutory rights described below.

Your 14-day right of withdrawal

Separately from the guarantee above, you may withdraw from a subscription contract within 14 days of signing up, without giving any reason and regardless of how much you have used the Service. This applies to every customer, wherever you live: for consumers in the EU and UK it is a statutory right, and we give everyone else the same right as a contractual promise. The full notice and the model withdrawal form are on our Right of Withdrawal page.

Your statutory rights

This policy is in addition to, and does not limit, your rights as a consumer under the mandatory consumer-protection laws that apply where you live, including: in Singapore, the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act 2003; in the European Union, the Consumer Rights Directive and your local consumer law; in the United Kingdom, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015; and in Australia, the Australian Consumer Law, under which our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded — for a major failure you are entitled to cancel and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value, and nothing in this policy (including the “part-used periods” paragraph above) limits those remedies. Nothing in this policy excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Purchases through a marketplace

If you purchased a subscription through the Microsoft commercial marketplace (AppSource), or through a reseller or distributor, that marketplace or reseller manages your billing, renewals and cancellations, and refunds for those purchases are handled under its own policies. Please manage the subscription in that marketplace account and request any refund from it.

Seats bought for an organisation are managed by that organisation’s administrator. Removing a user from a seat frees the seat for someone else; it does not by itself reduce the number of seats you are billed for, which changes at your next renewal.

Price changes

We may change subscription prices. We will email you at least 30 days before a changed price affects one of your renewals, and the new price applies only from your next renewal. If you do not accept a new price, you can cancel before it takes effect and you will not be charged the new amount.

Changes to this policy

We may change this policy from time to time. We reserve the right to update it at any time. When we make a material change, we will take reasonable steps to notify you before it takes effect — for example by posting a notice in the app, updating the effective date above, and/or emailing the address associated with your account. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
