What to tell us
The more of this you can include, the faster we can help — but send what you have and we will ask for the rest.
- Your Windows and Outlook versions, and whether that is classic Outlook or the new Outlook for Windows.
- Your Email Sprucer version — Settings → About, or see the changelog.
- What you expected to happen, and what happened instead.
Email Sprucer writes a log to %LOCALAPPDATA%\EmailSprucer\Logs\. Attaching the
newest file there tells us far more than a screenshot can — but please have a look through
it first, since it names the folders and addresses your rules touched.
Which Outlook am I on?
Email Sprucer ships as two different things, and which one you need depends on your Outlook.
- Classic Outlook for Windows — the desktop app that has been around for years. Install the app from the download page; the Email Sprucer tab appears on the ribbon after you restart Outlook.
- New Outlook for Windows, Outlook on the web, Outlook for Mac — these do not run desktop add-ins at all, so the ribbon tab cannot appear there. They use the Email Sprucer add-in instead, which you add from Apps → Add apps inside Outlook. Write to us and we will send you the current link.
